Hello, I am Quince Garcia and used to be caught in a cycle of crime and going to prison. That all changed when I started to use art and poetry to express my thoughts and emotions, which in turn helped me understand my experiences.

After leaving prison I enrolled onto a university course and three years later received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and Animation.

After finishing university, I set up Roadworks Media C.I.C to share my skills in art and film production to support young people who are unemployed, in gangs and at risk of offending to develop life skills in a positive way, providing workshops that use tools to deter, repair and empower young people.

The workshops have produced positive outcomes for young people in relation to a reduction in re-offending and an increase  in employment opportunities.
